In the heart of the Bolognese hills, Il Bizzo is a B&B housed in a former stable, now transformed into a welcoming home immersed in the quiet of the countryside. We are located along the Via degli Dei and the Via della Lana e della Seta, an ideal stop for those who love trekking, nature, and slow living. Well-kept spaces, a family atmosphere, and abundant greenery: here, every stay is an invitation to relax and rediscover the simple things in life.
Dear friends,
Our primary goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, in the shortest possible time.
Fast and flexible check-in: We don't want you to waste time with paperwork. We simply ask that you provide an approximate arrival time, if possible (especially if it's late), so we can welcome you without waiting.
Equipment storage: We have a dedicated area where you can safely store your backpacks and poles, and, if necessary, a place to dry your boots and clothing. It's essential that your equipment is ready for the next stage.
Room comfort: You'll find clean, soft sheets, and a hot shower is your well-deserved reward. Remember, cleanliness and comfort are our top priorities.
We know your needs are different from those of a traditional tourist. That's why we've developed specific services:
We'll provide you with useful contact information (pharmacy, grocery stores, emergency services).
If you're traveling with a walker's credential, we'll be happy to stamp it to certify your passage.
Dinner and the Walker's Menu: After a hard day's work, your body needs energy. If you'd like, we can organize a simple yet hearty dinner or recommend the best restaurants or trattorias with a "walker's menu" at a special price. Just ask!
Breakfast is fuel for the journey ahead. We prepare a generous breakfast and, above all, flexible hours.
Early departure: If you need to leave at dawn, please let us know. We'll be happy to prepare an early breakfast for you or provide a "breakfast pack" to take with you.
Hearty nutrition: You'll find fresh bread, honey, homemade jams, fruit, yogurt, as well as savory options to fuel up on essential proteins and carbohydrates for the journey.
A Small Gesture of Hospitality
Finally, hospitality is a matter of the heart for us. A walker is a special traveler, seeking an authentic experience.
I ask only two small things in return, which are part of the spirit of the journey:
Respect and sharing: Share common areas with other guests in an atmosphere of respect and tranquility.
Leave a mark: If you enjoyed your stay, leave a comment in our Walker's Book. Your words are our greatest encouragement and a help to those who come after you.
We're here to rest your legs and restore your spirits. I wish you a peaceful stay and good luck on your next adventure.
