La Felicina, Academy with Hotel ©, a 3-star establishment, is located in the historic center of San Piero a Sieve and serves as a stopover on the Via degli Dei. In fact, the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) chose it as its hotel base during the trail’s design.
Owned by the Ducci family since 1896, La Felicina remains their residence to this day.
Rebuilt after the war around its Medici tower (1450), La Felicina has been managed as a “home-style hotel” for about 120 years, deliberately preserving a warm and familiar atmosphere.
The ever-evolving decor is curated by Carlo Ducci, former editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia and Casa Vogue, alongside Franca Sozzani. Antique furniture and contemporary art complement the works of Bruno Ducci, a skilled model ship and flying machine designer, as well as various collections displayed throughout the terrace, garden, and rooms, creating an immersive Wunderkammer experience.

Today, La Felicina offers 10 rooms (single, double, and triple), each equipped with a private bathroom, bed linen, courtesy set, hairdryer, and three types of towels.
