The Lazzari farmhouse is located on path 46b of the Via Degli Dei, upstream from the village of Sant'Agata, about 560 meters above sea level, on the ancient route that connected Florence and Bologna. A place rich in history: first an Ubaldine stronghold, in 1300 it housed the village's Lazzaretto, hence the place name 'Lazzari'. During World War II the house was requisitioned by the German army and became the Todt base. Numerous war relics were found on this land, many of which are in the Giogo War Museum. The family-run farm was born in 2016 out of a passion for nature, animals and farming. Here you can find organic fruits, vegetables, chestnuts and saffron, various types of honey, eggs from Mugello and black Valdarno chickens, and I.G.P. Romagnola beef cattle. The farmhouse was created as a rest and refreshment point for 'pilgrims' on the Via degli Dei. It offers a camping area, immersed in the quiet of nature where you can put your tents in the shade of centuries-old oaks and fruit trees. It is equipped with toilets, indoor and outdoor showers, restaurant hall and large terrace. In the kitchen, mainly farm products are used, respecting seasonality. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes are also prepared.
